Fact or Fiction: Weekly regular cleaning is sufficient to keep my home germ and dust free

Fiction:
Regular weekly routine cleaning would normally cover common areas such as mopping and vacuuming of floors, cleaning of windows, door knobs etc. However, there are hard to reach and high areas that we will tend to miss out during our cleaning regime. Over time, these areas that are missed out will accumulate dust and germs.
Our regular weekly cleaning would normally have a fixed list of areas that we will focus on tidying and cleaning which have its own pros and cons. Having a list of areas to clean and tidy will help to organise the cleaning process but at the same time cause us to overlook areas that are not indicated in the list. In addition, for our regular cleaning, we would normally allocate a fixed timing to our house chores which would cover the cleanliness of the basic common areas.
Tip:
It is recommended to engage professional cleaning services at least twice a year to clean hard to reach areas. Professional cleaning teams normally have trained staff with the relevant knowledge and proper equipment to perform a deep cleaning service. Deep cleaning would usually consist of a thorough cleaning of the whole house.
