Removing watermark stains

Before you start cleaning all watermark stains that you can find, it is important to first check if you should avoid using certain cleaning agents on the surface which have the watermark stains. You would not want to clear the watermark but end up with a damaged furniture or surface. A water ring stain would commonly be found in wood furniture and this is caused by chilled drinks being placed directly on the furniture (Coffee table etc.) without any coaster. This can be identified by a faint white stain around the bottom of the cup.
The solution to cleaning watermark stains on wood surfaces or furniture is a simple daily household item, toothpaste. However, do take note that if the water ring is dark in colour, then the water has most probably seeped into the wood. In this scenario, then it is best to engage a furniture cleaning expert to do the rectification work as it will be complicated to remove the stain on your own.
What other common areas would you find watermarks on? The stains will probably be also found on steel, marble surfaces or on your shower screen. In this case, fill a bottle with vinegar and spray on the stains, letting it rest on the surface for at least 15-20 minutes. After the vinegar has broken down the water stains into white particles, use a damp cloth to wipe the area, and voila, your house is as good as new.
There might be other household products that can effectively remove water stains around your house but the above mentioned are two of the most common household products used in cleaning, especially for stain removal.
Disclaimer: It is important to check with the relevant professionals if the household agent that you will be using to clean the water stain will damage your tiles or surface as some of the chemicals in the household products could have adverse effects on your furniture or surface.
