Tengah Neighborhood Overview

A future HBD town, Tengah is a planning area located inside the West Region of Singapore. Currently being reserved for upcoming housing developments in the country, making it Singapore’s latest Housing and Development Board (HBD) town since the development of Punggol in the 90’s.

Now divided into various districts- Plantation, Park, Garden, Forest Hill, Market Place, and Brickland Districts; this 7km2 land used to be a restricted military Training area until the first estate, Plantation Grove, was set up in Tengah back in November 2018. Formerly known as ‘Hong Kah’ prior to Singapore’s urbanization, south of Tengah was a Chinese Kampong situated just a bit north of present-day Jurong West.

As a future HBD town, Tengah will be connected to the Jurong Region MRT line by 2026 and a new transport hub will be integrated and ready by 2022.
