Common cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, window cleaning and door handle disinfection are performed by us on a weekly basis. However, we frequently miss those areas that are difficult to access or elevated during our regular cleaning schedules. Over time, these overlooked areas could turn into thriving breeding grounds for dust and bacteria.
Our regular weekly cleaning would normally have a fixed list of areas that we will focus on tidying and cleaning which have its own pros and cons. Having a list of areas to clean and tidy will help to organise the cleaning process but at the same time cause us to overlook areas that are not indicated in the list. In addition, for our regular cleaning, we would normally allocate a fixed timing to our house chores which would cover the cleanliness of the basic common areas.
Tip:
It is recommended to engage professional cleaning services at least twice a year to clean hard to reach areas. Professional cleaning teams normally have trained staff with the relevant knowledge and proper equipment to perform a deep cleaning service. Deep cleaning would usually consist of a thorough cleaning of the whole house.
A normal deep cleaning would take approximately 4-6 hours where the focus of cleaning is not only on common areas but also areas that are normally missed out during regular cleaning. Deep cleaning helps to provide a cleaner and healthier environment for you and your family to live in while weekly routine cleaning helps to maintain the cleanliness of your home.
