Short answer: At Sureclean, pre-moving cleaning in Singapore costs from $370* before GST for a move-in or move-out clean, and most jobs cost between $475* and $525*. Larger flats, heavy grease and leftover dust push the price up. The deep floor scrub is a separate add-on ($560* for a 4-room). A flat that has just been renovated needs post-renovation cleaning instead ($525* for a 4-room HDB). Book the clean for after the contractors leave and before the movers arrive.

How much does pre-moving cleaning cost in Singapore?
At Sureclean, move-in, move-out and end-of-tenancy cleaning starts from $370* before GST, and most jobs cost between $475* and $525*. Where your home falls in that range depends on its size, how many bathrooms it has and how much grease, dust or mould has built up. The full scope is on our move-in and move-out cleaning page.
Some items are priced separately because not every home needs them:
- Deep floor scrub for tile, grout or vinyl: 3-room $500*, 4-room $560*, 5-room $600*.
- Curtains: steam-cleaned on site at $35* per panel, or $40* per blackout panel.
- Mattresses: from $105* for a single (dry clean).
- Washing machine: top-load from $188*, front-load from $288*.
First-time customers get 10% off. Our staff confirm the final quote once they know your flat type and its condition. Our cleaning prices in Singapore guide lists every service in one place.
What is included in a move-in or move-out clean?
A move-in or move-out clean is done when the home is empty, or close to it. That is the point of it: cleaners can reach the places that furniture usually hides. A typical Sureclean job covers:
- Kitchen: cabinets inside and out, countertops, the sink, wall tiles and the outside of appliances.
- Bathrooms: toilet bowls, basins, shower screens, wall tiles, mirrors and fittings, with soap scum and water stains treated.
- Rooms: built-in wardrobes inside and out, shelves, skirting, doors and switches.
- Windows: glass panels, tracks and grilles that can be reached safely from inside.
- Floors: vacuumed and mopped throughout, including the service yard.
Our crews bring their own equipment and cleaning agents, so you do not need to buy supplies. Some things are not included: the deep floor scrub, curtains, mattresses and washing machine interiors are all priced separately. We also do not offer exterior or high-rise window cleaning, kitchen hood degreasing, pest control or painting. Book those trades separately, before or after our visit.
Do you need move-in cleaning, post-renovation cleaning or spring cleaning?
Choosing the right service matters more than the price. The wrong one either leaves dust behind or costs more than you need to spend.
- Move-in or move-out cleaning (from $370*): an empty home with no recent works. Most resale HDB flats, rental handovers and condo units fit here.
- Post-renovation cleaning (from $350*; 4-room HDB $525*, 5-room $580*): any home where carpentry, hacking, tiling or painting has just finished. Fine renovation dust settles inside cabinets and needs a different method. See our post-renovation cleaning page.
- Spring or deep cleaning (from $600*): an occupied home that needs a thorough top-to-bottom clean around the furniture.
New BTO owners often ask which one applies to them. If you are renovating before you move in, book post-renovation cleaning for after the contractor leaves. If you are moving in with no works done, a move-in clean is usually enough. Adding the deep floor scrub to a post-renovation job makes a package. For a 4-room flat, that is $525* plus $560*, or $1,085* in total.
When should you book cleaning before the movers arrive?
The best time is after every contractor has finished and before any furniture comes in. Once the sofa, bed frame and wardrobe are in place, the floor and walls behind them are hard to reach. Cleaning around boxes also takes longer.
- Moving in: schedule the clean one to three days before the movers come. That leaves time for a touch-up visit if something was missed, and the flat is not left shut for long.
- Moving out: book the clean for after the movers have taken everything, and before you hand back the keys or walk through the flat with the landlord or agent.
- Renovated flats: wait until the last trade has left, including electricians and curtain installers. Otherwise fresh dust will undo the clean.
Book one to two weeks ahead if you can. Weekends and month-end dates, when many tenancies end, fill up first. Make sure the water and electricity are on that day, because the crew needs both. If you also want curtains or the deep floor scrub done, ask for them when you book so everything is done in one trip.
What should you do before, during and after the clean?
A little preparation makes the clean faster and the result better. Use this checklist:
- 1. Clear the flat. Remove boxes, rubbish and leftover items so the crew can reach every surface.
- 2. Confirm access. Arrange how the crew will get the keys. In a condo, check whether the management office needs contractors registered in advance.
- 3. Turn on the utilities. The water and power must be on for the whole visit.
- 4. Point out problem areas. Show the crew any mould, stained grout or greasy cabinets so they can set aside time for them.
- 5. Air the flat. In Singapore’s humidity, a flat left shut can turn musty and grow mould in wardrobes and bathrooms. Open the windows whenever you visit.
- 6. Walk through at the end. Before the crew leaves, check the cabinets, window tracks and bathroom corners with the crew lead.
- 7. Take photos. When moving out, dated photos of each room are useful at the handover inspection.
If you are not satisfied with any area, tell us and we will come back to re-clean it.
What changes the price for HDB, condo and landed homes?
Size is the biggest factor. A 2-room HDB flat takes far less time than an Executive Maisonette or a Jumbo flat, and every extra bathroom adds work. Our other services follow the same pattern. The deep floor add-on runs from $360* for a 2-room to $850* for an EM. Post-renovation cleaning runs from $370* for a 2-room to $840+* for a Jumbo.
- Resale HDB: expect kitchen grease and bathroom scale left by the previous owners. Older flats often need more time on the grout.
- New BTO: usually a lighter job, but construction dust in cabinets and window tracks is common.
- Condo: quoted by size. Balconies and the management office’s rules on contractor hours can affect scheduling.
- Landed: quoted by size, because the number of floors, staircases and outdoor areas varies widely.
Condition matters too. In Singapore’s humidity, a flat left shut for months may have mould on the ceilings, in the wardrobes and around the window seals. A strong chemical smell in a newly renovated or furnished home can point to formaldehyde. Formaldehyde removal is a separate service that costs $600* to $1,100* for a whole home.
When should you call a professional move-out cleaning service?
Call a professional when the deadline is fixed and the stakes are real: a landlord inspection, a buyer’s completion date, or movers booked for the next morning. A trained crew can usually finish in a day what would take a household a full weekend.
It is also worth it when:
- the flat has visible mould, heavy kitchen grease or hard-water stains;
- you are moving out of one home and into another in the same week;
- the floors need a proper scrub rather than a mop (see our floor deep cleaning service).
Cleaning businesses in Singapore must hold an NEA licence, so ask any company for its licence number. Since 2013 we have cleaned 50,000+ homes with our own trained crews, not agency or marketplace workers, and we hold a 4.9-star Google rating across 1,500+ reviews. When you do not need a professional
If you kept your flat tidy and there is no handover inspection, a few hours with a mop, a bathroom cleaner and some microfibre cloths may be all it needs. The same goes for a new BTO flat with no renovation, where light dust is often the only problem. Spend the money on the deep floor scrub or the curtains only if they really need it. Call a crew when time pressure, grease or mould makes doing it yourself impractical.

Frequently asked questions
How much does move-in cleaning cost for an HDB flat?
Move-in cleaning starts from $370* before GST, and most jobs, including typical HDB flats, cost between $475* and $525*. The exact price depends on the flat’s condition and how many bathrooms it has. If the flat has just been renovated, post-renovation cleaning applies instead: $525* for a 4-room HDB, or $1,085* with the deep floor scrub added.
Is the deep floor scrub included in move-in cleaning?
No. The deep floor scrub for tile, grout and vinyl is always a separate add-on. It costs $360* for a 2-room, $500* for a 3-room, $560* for a 4-room, $600* for a 5-room and $850* for an EM. You only need it if the grout is stained or the floor has built-up dirt that mopping will not lift.
How many days before moving should I book the cleaning?
Schedule the clean one to three days before the movers come, after every contractor has finished. Try to book one to two weeks ahead, because weekends and month-end dates fill up first. Move-in and move-out cleaning starts from $370* before GST, and the water and electricity need to be on that day.
Do I need to provide cleaning supplies or equipment?
No. Sureclean crews bring their own equipment and cleaning agents to every job, and move-in and move-out cleaning starts from $370* before GST. All you need to do is make sure the water and electricity are on, clear out boxes and rubbish, and arrange access. In a condo, that may include registering the crew with the management office.
Can curtains and mattresses be cleaned during the same visit?
Yes. You can add them when you book your move-in or move-out clean. Curtains are steam-cleaned on site at $35* per panel ($40* per blackout panel), so a typical 3-room with six panels costs about $210*. Mattress cleaning starts at $105* for a single and $140* for a queen (dry clean).
